写真家・三好耕三。本展では、氏が1972年から1983年にアメリカ滞在中に撮られたシリーズ「See Saw」と、2010年に出版された写真集『ORIGIN』や「Conservatory 温室」など現在に至る写真群より、916のキュレーターである写真家・上田義彦が選んだ60点余りを展覧致します。頭の中にあるイメージに誘われるように旅を続ける氏にとって、出会いの偶然はおのずと必然となる。三好がレンズを向けるその先には、自らの定めを悟っているかのように飄々とした表情で佇むものたちがいる。その気配や息遣いまでもが聞こえてくるような精緻なプリントが魅せる、静かなるモノクロームの世界。三好耕三の原点に迫るこれらの作品群を、是非ともこの機にご高覧ください。		Photographer, Kozo Miyoshi. This exhibition features over 60 prints selected by 916 curator and photographer Yoshihiko Ueda from Miyoshi's series ranging from “See Saw,” shot during his sojourn in America between 1972 and 1983, and “Conservatory” to recent works. For Miyoshi, who continues to travel widely as if enticed by the images in his mind, chance encounters are an inevitability. Wherever he trains his lens, there seem to be subjects that linger with carefree expressions, as if having realized their own fate. So fine are his prints, which conjure a quiet monochrome world, that one can almost hear their presence and breathing. 三好耕三（みよしこうぞう） 1947年生まれ。日本大学芸術学部写真学科卒業。1986年日本写真協会新人賞受賞。1991年より文化庁芸術家在外研修員として、アリゾナ大学センター・フォー・クリエイティヴ・フォトグラフィーで1年間研修後、引き続きアリゾナ州に滞在。1996年に帰国。現在、東京を拠点に制作活動を続けている。近年の主な個展「YUBUNE 湯船」フォト・ギャラリー・インターナショナル＜以下P.G.I.＞（東京2013年）「櫻」1839當代画廊（台北2011年）「SEE SAW」P.G.I.（東京2010年）「SAKURA 櫻覧」P.G.I.（2009年）、「津々浦々」P.G.I.（2007年）、「Tokyo Drive 東京巡景」P.G.I.（2006年）、「Seagirt海廻り」P.G.I.（2004年）、「SAKURA 櫻」P.G.I.（2003年）、「CAMERA 写真機」P.G.I.（2002年）、「Tokyo　Street　横丁」P.G.I.（1999年）、「In The Road」P.G.I.（1997年）がある。2012年Amherst College Mead Art Museum展覧会「Reinventing　Tokyo: Japan’s Largest City in the Artistic Imagination」展に参加。作品は東京国立近代美術館や東京都写真美術館、ジョージ・イーストマン・ハウス国際写真美術館（U.S.A.）､アリゾナ大学センター・フォー・クリエイティブ・フォトグラフィー（U.S.A.）、ヒューストン美術館（U.S.A.）などにコレクションされている。		Kozo Miyoshi Born 1947. Graduated from the Department of Photography, Nihon University College of Art. Recipient of the 1986 Photographic Society of Japan Newcomer's Award. Remained living in Arizona after a year starting in 1991 at the University of Arizona, Center for Creative Photography under the auspices of the Japanese Agency for Cultural Affairs Overseas Study Program for Artists. Returned in 1996 to Japan, where he is currently based. Recent solo exhibitions include “Yubune” Photo Gallery International (Tokyo, 2013), “Sakura” 1839 Contemporary Gallery (Taipei, 2011), “See Saw” PGI (2010), “Sakura” PGI (2009), “Far and Wide” PGI (2007), “Tokyo Drive” PGI (2006), “Seagirt” PGI (2004), “Sakura” PGI (2003), “CAMERA” PGI (2002), “Tokyo　Street” PGI (1999), and “In The Road” PGI (1997). Participated in “Reinventing Tokyo: Japan’s Largest City in the Artistic Imagination” Amherst College Mead Art Museum (2012). His works are in the collections of the National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo; Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography; George Eastman House International Museum of Photography and Film (USA); Center for Creative Photography, University of Arizona (USA); and Museum of Fine Arts, Houston (USA) among others.
